For many athletes, cold and wet weather is a significant impediment.
Cold feet reduce coordination, control, and confidence, leading to poor play and less playing time.
For athletes competing to play at the highest levels, this disadvantage limits opportunities for college recruitment and scholarships. For recreational players, the discomfort reduces enjoyment and social opportunities.
Cold sensitivity disproportionately affects female athletes, who are under-served by big sportswear companies. By creating a product that addresses this issue, we are working to close that gap.

Our solution is Shoe Shields: A removable, universal cover designed specifically for soccer cleats.
A key insight from our conversations with players, parents and coaches from across the country was that cleat fit is sacred. Players don’t want anything inside their cleats interfering with their expected sensation and comfort.
So instead, Shoe Shields work from the outside. The cover provides full-foot protection while leaving the studs exposed so traction remains unchanged.
The upper material is insulating and waterproof, while remaining thin and flexible, preserving ball feel and control.
The design ensures that they are compatible with any brand or shape of cleat. We plan to offer small, medium, and large sizes, ensuring that players from the youth level through the adult leagues will find a pair that works for them.
Shoe Shields are also fully compliant with IFAB Law 4 and are permitted to be worn for both training and competitive matches.
Shoe Shields will keep players' feet warm and dry, no matter the conditions, so that cold-sensitive athletes won't miss a step.
For cold-sensitive players, existing options don't cut it
Competing products are expensive or insufficient, and DIY alternatives often introduce more problems than they solve.

Specialized Cleats
- Too expensive to purchase only for seasonal use
- Require players to adjust to new fit and feel

Cleat Spats
- Don't provide full-foot protection
- Not insulating or waterproof

Doubled Socks
- Don't work with tight cleats
- Reduce circulation and sensation
- Don't protect from wet conditions

Hand Warmers
- Bulky and uncomfortable
- Don't stay in place during intense play
- Don't protect from wet conditions

Plastic Bags
- Cause feet to slip and slide within cleats
- Trap sweat, fungus, and bacteria
- Don't protect from the cold
